Each week I put all the proposed topics and questions on http://poll.fm/4v90t. And on a Wednesday we get together at 8pm and kick about one idea. This is also the same time as the Great British bake off, so while you watch adults steal each other’s custard and worry about how much to chop their fruits, you can also muse on the key issues in maths education, listen in, and offer your thoughts.

So far we have discussed topics as wide ranging as:

– Assessing without levels
– Supporting foundation students to approach the new content
– Using images and pictures in maths teaching
– …and running GCSE maths over 3 years.

There are about 80 teachers voting and discussing each week. Some come every week, some come when they can and when the kids allow them. We meet every Wednesday, from 8pm, and you would be most welcome to join us.
